Tamale Pie

Do you know that Tamale Pie? If you know, you will not want to eat anything other than corn bread coated with beef. The cornbread crust becomes very crispy on the pan and then sprinkled with beef, Monterey melty jack powder and seasoned chili.

Ground beef that has been seasoned with spices is cooked with green peppers, onions, and corn and topped with topped with thorny corn flour cheese. Tamale Pie is a pure and delicious old-school comfort food.

  1. 1 box of corn muffin mixture (like JIFFY)
  2. Cooking spray
  3. 1/2 c. sour cream
  4. 1 large egg
  5. 1 teaspoon. extra-virgin olive oil
  6. 1 teaspoon. cumin smooth
  7. 1/2 c. canned creamed corn
  8. 1 onion, chopped
  9. Halal salt
  10. 1 teaspoon. chili powder
  11. 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  12. Freshly ground black pepper
  13. 1/3 c. red enchilada sauce
  14. 1 c. grated cheddar
  15. 1 c. torn Monterey jack
  16. 1 pound of ground beef


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 °. Lemudian spread a large skillet that is safe for the oven with cooking spray. In a large bowl, stir in a mixture of corn muffins, sour cream, eggs and creamed corn. Transfer to a prepared skillet and bake until golden in color, for 20 minutes. Then let it cool.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cumin, onion, and chili powder and season with pepper and salt. Cook until it feels soft, for about 5 minutes. Then add the garlic and cook until it smells good, for 1 more minute. Add beef and cook, cut the meat with a wooden spoon, until it is no longer pink, for about 6 minutes. Drain the fat.
  3. Stir the entire surface of the cornbread with a fork and pour it over the enchilada sauce. Add beef and add cheese on top.
  4. Then cover with foil and bake until melty cheese, about approximately for 20 minutes. Change the oven to bake, remove the foil, and bake until the cheese turns golden, for about 5 minutes.
