This homemade chicken pie recipe is not boring – everything can be made in one large pan.

1 1/2 c. chicken broth
4 frozen buttermilk biscuits
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 small onion
1 c. Carrot matchstick
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. shredded rotisserie chicken
1 c. frozen cut green beans
Biscuits, to serve
2 tbsp. fresh flat leaf parsley
Prepare 4 frozen buttermilk biscuits according to the package directions.
Meanwhile, in a large jar, whole milk, shake the chicken stock, flour, and poultry seasoning. Cook the onions and carrots in butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until soft, for 2 to 3 minutes. Gently shake in the milk mixture. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer gently, stirring constantly, until it thickens, for 6 to 8 minutes.
Stir the shredded shredded chicken, green beans, and flat leaf parsley and cook until warm, for 4 to 5 minutes. Season with halal salt and black pepper.
