Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry

When it is your lunch time and you are craving for some delicious chicken breast with rice. However, you don’t have too much time to cook your own food. Then what will you eat? Easy, you could make sesame chicken stir-fry only for 20 minutes. If you want to cook this easy, simple, yet tasteful dish you must follow these following steps below and prepare some ingredients below:

Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 500g boneless and skinless chicken breast
  • 2 Scallions
  • 3 tbsp. constarch
  • 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. sriracha
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil, toasted
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seed, toasted

Directions:

Firstly, cook the rice as the package has instructed.

Secondly, chop bell peppers and onion. After that, you need to cut the boneless and skinless chicken breast. You could cut it at whatever size you prefer. And then, slice scallions thinly. After that, side them aside.

Thirdly, brush oil on the non-sticky skillet over medium heat. After that put onion and peppers on the skillet. Cook them and don’t forget to occasionally stir them. Let them cook until tender, or it will need around 6 to 8 minutes. After that move them in to a bowl.

Next, over a large bowl, put the chicken along with 3 tablespoons cornstarch. And then, add another tablespoon oil on the skillet. After that, put the chicken to the skillet and cook it until cooked trough or for around 6 to 8 minutes. While cooking it, don’t forget to stir it occasionally.

Meanwhile on another bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, Sriracha, toasted sesame oil, and also honey. After all of them mixed well add chopped garlic, and the fresh ginger to the bowl.

Last but not least, return all of the vegetables to the skillet pan with chicken breast that already on it. Then add the sauce with 1/3 cup of water. Let them simmer down for about 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. After that, sprinkle them with sliced scallions and sesame seeds. And then serve them with rice.
